What surprised and impressed me in New York was how clean the streets were.

Yes--clean, even in the Bronx (tho' out on the freeways it's a bit different). I think overall that folks love their NYwpnsc. I don't care for the City, but NY the State has some of everything--the northern part is similar to Minnesota, the west has Niagara Falls, and my cousin thinks his Hudson Valley location rivals many other states and perhaps even a couple nations for serene beauty. I must agree.
